TATTOO AFTER CARE

Tattoo Aftercare Protocol

Phase 1: Initial Healing – (Before Peeling)

    1.    Immediately After Removing the Plastic Wrap or Adhesive Bandage

(Follow your artist’s recommendation)

    •    Cleanse:

    •    Gently wash the tattoo with a mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water.

    •    Pat dry with a clean, soft towel or paper towel.

    •    Wait one minute; if plasma or blood is still leaking, repeat the cleansing step.

    •    Balm Application:

    •    With clean hands, apply a thin, even layer of HADES TATTOO BALM over the tattooed area.

This balm locks in moisture and forms a protective barrier over the fresh tattoo.

    •    Reapply every 2–3 hours or as needed to keep the tattoo lightly moisturized.

Important: Avoid heavy occlusion. The goal is to protect and nourish the skin without suffocating the healing tissue.

    2.    During the First 2–3 Days

    •    Maintain Hygiene:

    •    Cleanse the tattoo gently 2–3 times daily to remove any excess blood or plasma, then reapply a fresh layer of the balm.

    •    Monitor Healing:

    •    Observe for signs of improvement, such as reduced redness and minimal oozing.

    •    Refrain from picking or scratching the area.

Phase 2: Post-Peeling – (After the Tattoo Begins to Flake)

    1.    Transition to Moisturizer.

    •    Gentle Cleansing:

    •    Once peeling or flaking begins (usually around day 4), wash the tattoo with mild soap and lukewarm water.

    •    Gently pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel.

    •    Switch Products:

    •    Replace HADES TATTOO BALM with HADES TATTOO CREAM.

    •    Apply a thin layer of the cream to maintain hydration and soothe any residual itching.

    •    The water-based cream keeps the skin supple without heavy occlusion, allowing the tattoo to breathe as it continues to heal.

    2.    Ongoing Care

    •    Frequency:

    •    Moisturize 2–3 times daily, or whenever the tattoo feels dry or tight.

    •    Long-Term Maintenance:

    •    Continue using the water-based moisturizer for several weeks until the tattoo is fully healed.

    •    Consistent hydration not only promotes healing, but also helps preserve the vibrancy of your tattoo.
